Designing Neural Networks Using Gene Expression Programming
Solving problems with NNs designed by

The problems chosen to illustrate the evolution of linearly encoded neural networks are two well-known problems of logic synthesis. The first, the exclusive-or problem, was chosen both for its historical importance in the neural network field and for its simplicity, allowing an easy understanding of the evolved neural
networks. The second, the 6-bit multiplexer, is a rather complex problem and can be useful for evaluating the efficiency of this new algorithm.
